And it works just as advertised. I'm not a ninja who whips this out from underneath my kimono, and I'm not constantly putting the knife in and out of the guard. When it's time to make dinner, I open the drawer, take out the knife, use the knife, wash it, and then put it back. If this describes you, then this blade guard should work well. They looked great when I bought them, and the lining made it appear as though they were of high quality. Within a week they all started splitting down the seam, meaning they no longer protected my knives or stayed on them. I have now gone back to the no name guards that secure to the blade tighter and are made of thicker plastic. I place the cutlery in the sleeves first, then place them in the pockets of my travel bag when I cook/prepare sushi away from home. These sleeves help protect my bag from punctures or cuts, as well as keep the knives protected. Overall, I am happy with the purchases. |
